3D reconstruction using a single webcam

Here's what people from Imperial College are able to do with a single camera. This specific camera's got a pretty good resolution, so I wouldn't expect the same results if you were to use a webcam.

More recently, Maxime Meilland managed to get some amazing results fusing color with range images (using a Kinect). This is going to be presented soon at ICRA this year!
